Thousands of dams and hydroelectric power plants are being constructed. Our mountains are taken over by miners. Our lives are endangered with nuclear and thermal power stations. No one hears our voices. The seeds we have planted for thousands of years are disappearing. Our forests are being razed. This is why we, the people of Anatolia have decided to rely on our own wills to save the life of Anatolia. We are joining together! We are getting together with all who possess a conscience for a walk that will last 40 days and 40 nights. We shall flow to Ankara like rivers and streams. We shall walk for the sake of our respect for the past and our commitment to the future of our children. To defend nature and our rights to live!
