Madam, – The British financial press lovingly created the acronym PIGS when referring to the budgetary problems of Portugal, Ireland, Greece and Spain.

Given their own dire fiscal situation, is it not reasonable that they be referred to as SWINE . . . Scotland, Wales, Northern Ιreland and England? – Yours, etc,
