Ταινία με θέμα τα τουρκικά εγκλήματα στην Ίμβρο
ΜΕ ΤΗΝ ΔΙΑΦΟΡΑ ΟΤΙ ΕΙΝΑΙ ΤΟΥΡΚΙΚΗ
Είναι από τις λίγες φορές που κάποιος Τούρκος διανοόύμενος εμφανίζεται με φιλελληνική διάθεση (περισσότερο αντικειμενική θα λέγαμε) και τουλάχιστον εξιστορεί κάποια γεγονότα όπως ακριβώς έγιναν. Μια τραγωδία του Ελληνισμού, που αποτελεί όνειδος για την Τουρκία όπως ο διωγμός των Ελλήνων από την Ίμβρο το 64.
Για αυτό παρότι είχε το defencenet.gr αναφερθεί πάνω σε αυτό το θέμα, αξίζει να θιχτεί και πάλι μιας που πλησιάζει η ημέρα προβολής της ταινίας.
Αποκαλυπτική ταινία Τούρκου σκηνοθέτη με θέμα τα εγκλήματα του ' 64 στην Ίμβρο που οδήγησαν στον ξεριζωμό των Ελλήνων κατοίκων της κάνει πρεμιέρα στις 21 Ιουνίου στην Τουρκία.
Σύμφωνα με τον σκηνοθέτη, κ. Selim Evci, αφορμή για την ταινία στάθηκε ένα ταξίδι που πραγματοποίησε στο νησί, κατά τη διάρκεια του οποίου, παρατήρησε τα εγκαταλελειμμένα αλλά ακόμα επιπλωμένα σπίτια των Ελλήνων, σημάδι ότι οι κάτοικοί τους τα εγκατέλειψαν βιαίως. Στην προσπάθειά του να αναζητήσει τις αιτίες που οδήγησαν τους ανθρώπους να εγκαταλείψουν τις εστίες τους, αποφάσισε να κάνει την εν λόγω ταινία η οποία φέρει τον τίτλο: «Ruzgarlar» (Άνεμοι).
«Σύμφωνα με τη Συνθήκη της Λωζάνης το 1923, οι μουσουλμάνοι της Δυτικής Θράκης και οι Έλληνες της Κωνσταντινούπολης εξαιρέθηκαν της ανταλλαγής των πληθυσμών. Ειδικό καθεστώς δόθηκε στα νησιά Ίμβρος και Τένεδος αλλά εξαιτίας των πολιτικών χειρισμών, αποτέλεσμα των γεγονότων στην Κύπρο το 1964, οι Έλληνες της Ίμβρου εξαναγκάστηκαν να εγκαταλείψουν τις εστίες τους….
Πρέπει να πάρουμε ένα μάθημα από αυτό. Περίπου 8,500 Έλληνες ζούσαν στο νησί το 1923, τώρα ίσα που φτάνουν τους 230», δηλώνει στην εφημερίδα Hurriyet Daily News. Ο σκηνοθέτης ο οποίος τονίζει ότι αντιμετώπισε δυσκολίες στο να βρει σινεμά να προβάλει την ταινία του.
Μπράβο του όμως γιατί πρέπει να συγχαίρουμε την ειλικρίνεια και την τιμιότητα, που μπορεί και βλέπει ότι κάτι δεν πήγε καλά στην σύγχρονη τουρκική ιστορία, και έχει το θάρρος να το παραδέχεται, και δεν σημαίνει ότι δεν αγαπαέι την χώρα του αλλά επιθυμεί να διορθωθούν τα κακώς κείμενα.

He was born in Istanbul, Turkey, 1975. After graduating from Maltepe University with a cinema degree in 2003, he enrolled to the master program in the Division of Cinema at Beykent University, Istanbul. He gave lessons in Istanbul University and workshops at Koc University, Istanbul. Currently, he serves as an executive member of IFSAK (Istanbul Photographers and Cinema Amateurs' Association) and the director of International Annual Akbank Short Film Festival. He founded and is an instructor at the IFSAK Short Film Workshop whilst holding an advisor position at Akbank Short Film Workshop. He founded Evci Film Production in 2006. He is currently teaching short film production lessons at Maltepe University. He has written, directed, produced and edited his first feature film "Iki Cizgi" (Two Lines). He is currently (November 2010) working on the post-production of his second feature "Ruzgarlar" (Winds).

Gökçeada sounds out with its silence in a new movie
A new film directed by Selim Evci tells the story of those who had to leave their house because of the population exchange between Turkey and Greece in the 1920s. The film is set on Gökçeada island

The silent history of Gökçeada Island in the northwestern part of Turkey is now set to a voice on the silver screen thanks to a film directed by Selim Evci.
The film, “Rüzgarlar” (Winds), which will be released on June 21 with English subtitles, features the story of Gökçeada Greeks, who had to leave the island because of the population exchange (Mübadele) of the 1920s.
The main character of the film is the island itself; the other characters are Murat, who records the sounds on the island, and Madame Styliani.
Speaking to the Hürriyet Daily News, Evci explained the reason why he had decided to shoot the film, saying: “When I went to Gökçeada many years ago for a photo shoot, I saw abandoned houses as well the furniture and chests still kept in the houses which didn’t even have a roof. These objects showed that people had left their houses in a hurry. ‘What made these people leave their house like this?’ I thought.”
Evci, trying to find an answer to this question, decided to make the film. It is a historical tragedy that peoples were forced to suffer great traumas because of international policies, he said.
“In accordance with the Lausanne Treaty signed in 1923, Muslim people living in Western Thrace and Greeks living in Istanbul were excluded from the population exchange. Gökçeada (Imbros) and Bozcaada (Tenedos) were give special status. But because of policies implemented as a result of the Cyprus incidents in 1964, Greeks on the island were forced to emigrate,” he said. The film was shot on the island’s Tepeköy (Agridya), Zeytinliköy (Hagia Todori) and Kaleköy (Castro) villages and Istanbul over a period of five weeks.

Οι Έλληνες της Ίμβρου, ανοίγουν τη ψυχή τους!
Τα όσα λένε απλά επιβεβαιώνουν την
υποκρισία της Τουρκίας που μετά τα όσα έχει διαπράξει στην ιστορία της και
εναντίον των Ελλήνων , έχει τεράστια αποθέματα θράσους για να εμφανίζεται ως
"προστάτιδα δύναμη" μειονοτήτων που με το έτσι θέλω "βαφτίζει" "τουρκικές".
Αναφερόμαστε στη Θράκη και στην χρησιμοποίηση των εξτρεμιστικών κύκλων που η
Άγκυρα με κάθε τρόπο συντηρεί και προσπαθεί να εξαπλώσει και στα
Δωδεκάνησα.
